G: What is the difficulty level of Tallinn Food Tour, and what should I wear or bring along?
A: Tallinn Food Tour is easy to moderate level walking tour with its route mainly on the cobblestone streets of Tallinn Old Town. There are some relatively steep stairs to climb during one of the drink stops taking you to the medieval defensive tower. Also, as Tallinn Old Town consists of lower and upper parts then there is some easy level up and down strolls on cobblestone streets involved. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothes suitable for the season. Our tours go our regardless of the weather.

G: Is Tallinn Food Tour suitable for people on wheelchairs or with walking difficulties?
A: Tallinn Food Tour route is mainly on cobblestone streets of Tallinn Old Town. Some of these streets does not have wide pedestrian paths while almost half of the old town is also accessible for the traffic, which might make the moving on wheelchair a bit tricky in some areas. Also the persons in wheelchair cannot probably access all the food & drink stops this tour has to offer – the ones that foresee climbing some stairs + most of the cafés and eateries in Tallinn Old Town have no special ramp for the wheelchairs. All-in-all it is doable but the person on wheelchair might face some difficulties en route.

G: Can children participate in Tallinn Food Tour?
A: Yes, you can bring your child to the tour. Our Tallinn Food Tour prices for children* are:
0-3 years free of charge
4-12 years for €55 per child / €70 per child for a tour with return transfers
13 years and up for the full tour price
*Children should be accompanied by at least 1 adult or parent. But please consider that minimum number of persons for the tours to operate is 2 adults. Please inform us beforehand if you’d like to book a child along with you for a tour. We’ll then send to you the child discount code for the regular tour bookings.
Please note that the walking part of Tallinn Food Tour (approx 2km) is mostly on cobblestone streets of Tallinn Old Town, and the tour includes some elevation changes between the lower and upper old town and some climbing on stairs. There will be several food stops during the tour, where some alcohol is served – which will be then substituted for children with soft drinks or juices of course.
In case you use a children’s trolley then please note, that it might be somewhat challenging here and there to move around with it (due to cobblestoned streets at some parts of the old town). It is doable of course, so just to mention it hereby.

G: Where is the starting point for the private or tailor made food tours?
A: Starting point for the private or tailor made food tours depends a bit on the program, season, weekday and the desired tour starting time. Usually the private food tours start either from Tallinn Tourism Information, Viru Gates, Freedom Square, seaport (incl. cruise port), or from the lobby of any centrally located hotel in Tallinn. If the hotel (and port) is not within reasonable walking distance from the old town, then we offer one- way or roundtrip transfers to the starting point of the food sightseeing tour. These transfers come with supplementary cost to the tour package price.

G: Do you take into account the potential food allergies and offer vegetarian options at your food tours?
A: We try to substitute the menu ingredients if there is a person or persons in the group on a special diet. We also offer vegetarian alternatives for the menu where feasible. Due to the nature of our food tour stops (our aim is to provide a tastings of typical for Estonia food & drinks) we cannot always guarantee the fully vegetarian options, or that we’d be able to meet all the food allergies, but at same time we guarantee that in majority of our food & drink stops we can provide the suitable alternative or the menu is already suitable as is. Alcoholic beverages will be substituted with non-alcoholic drinks for those who do not drink alcohol.
